From the Frederick Transit Center, take the MTA Route 505 bus towards Baltimore. You will need to transfer at the Westminster Transfer Station to the MTA Route 302, which goes directly to Gettysburg. The total travel time may take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Gettysburg, disembark at the Gettysburg Visitor Center. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to 297 Steinwehr Ave, where the Gettysburg Heritage Center is located.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Frederick. Head to the Catoctin Mountain Park via the C&O Canal Towpath, which is a scenic route. Once you reach the end of the Towpath, follow the signs to Route 15 southbound towards Gettysburg. The journey can take about 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving in Gettysburg, follow Steinwehr Ave until you reach 297 Steinwehr Ave.
