Walking
If you are in downtown Frederick, head east on E Patrick St toward S Market St. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with US-15. Cross the road carefully and walk towards the bus stop for the Ride On bus service. Take the Ride On bus # 54 towards Gaithersburg. The bus will take you directly to the Gaithersburg area. Once you arrive, get off at the 'Shady Grove Metro Station' stop. From there, you will need to walk about 1 mile northwest to reach 1025 Hillside Lake Terrace. Follow the pedestrian paths through the Washingtonian Woods park area to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Public Transit
Begin your journey at the Frederick Transit Depot located at 100 South East St. Take the MARC Train (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) on the Brunswick Line heading towards Washington, D.C. Get off at the Gaithersburg station. After disembarking, exit the station and walk to the bus stop for the Ride On bus # 54. Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop for 'Hillside Lake Terrace.' From there, it's a short walk to 1025 Hillside Lake Terrace. Enjoy the scenic views as you approach your destination.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Frederick. Start your ride heading south on S Market St, then turn left onto E Patrick St. Continue biking for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with US-15. Carefully navigate through the intersection and continue on the bike paths towards Gaithersburg. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach 1025 Hillside Lake Terrace, you can lock your bike at the designated bike racks nearby.
