From downtown Frederick, take the TransIT bus route 55 towards the Frederick Transit Center. Once you reach the Transit Center, transfer to the route 59 bus towards Gambrill State Park. The bus will take you directly to the entrance of the park. Please check the TransIT schedule for the most current times.

Start at the Frederick City Park located at 121 N Bentz St, Frederick, MD. Head west on W Patrick St towards N Market St. Turn left onto N Market St and continue to follow the road as it becomes MD-550. After approximately 4 miles, turn left onto Gambrill Park Rd. Continue on Gambrill Park Rd for about 2 miles until you reach Gambrill State Park.

If you're staying in central Frederick, start at the Frederick Visitor Center located at 151 S East St. Head west on E Patrick St towards S Market St. Turn left onto S Market St, then turn right onto MD-550 (E. Church St) and walk for about 4 miles. Finally, turn left onto Gambrill Park Rd and walk approximately 2 miles to reach the entrance of Gambrill State Park.
