Bus
From Gaithersburg, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Ride On Bus Route 55 towards the Glenmont Metro Station. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel for approximately 15 minutes and disembark at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Finally, walk about 10 minutes northwest along 9th St NW, then turn left onto H St NW and walk for another block until you reach 11th St NW. Bohemian Caverns will be on your right at 2001 11th St NW.

From Gaithersburg, make your way to the Metro Station at the Glenmont stop. Take the Metro Red Line towards Shady Grove. After about 25 minutes, change trains at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Here, switch to the Metro Green or Yellow Line towards L'Enfant Plaza. Continue for another stop and get off at the 7th St-Convention Center Station. From there, walk about 10 minutes northwest along 9th St NW, then turn left onto H St NW and walk one block to 11th St NW. Bohemian Caverns will be on your right at 2001 11th St NW.

If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs in Gaithersburg. Start your ride towards the Washington D.C. area via the Rock Creek Regional Park trail. Follow the trail for approximately 5 miles until you reach the D.C. city limits. Once you reach the city, head southeast towards 11th St NW. Follow 11th St NW directly to Bohemian Caverns located at 2001 11th St NW. This ride will take about 40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

If you are up for a long walk, you can start your journey on foot from the center of Gaithersburg. Walk towards Montgomery Village Ave, then head south towards the Metro station. From there, follow the directions for the Metro option above to get to Bohemian Caverns. This walking journey to the Metro station will take around 30-40 minutes, and the entire trip can take about 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
