Public Bus
From Gaithersburg, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Ride On Bus #55 towards Glenmont. Stay on the bus for about 35 minutes until you reach the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Red Line towards Glenmont. Ride the Red Line for about 25 minutes and get off at the Judiciary Square Metro Station. Exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes southeast to arrive at the National Christmas Tree located at 15th St NW & E St NW.
Metro
Make your way to the Shady Grove Metro Station, which you can reach by taking the Ride On Bus #52 from Gaithersburg. At the Shady Grove station, board the Red Line towards Glenmont. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Judiciary Square Metro Station. From there, exit the station and walk about 10 minutes southeast to reach the National Christmas Tree at 15th St NW & E St NW.
Walking/Biking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk or bike, you can take the Capital Crescent Trail starting from Gaithersburg. Follow the trail towards Washington, D.C. This route will take approximately 1.5 hours to bike and about 3-4 hours to walk. Once you reach downtown D.C., navigate towards 15th St NW and E St NW to find the National Christmas Tree.
Ride-Sharing Service
