From Gaithersburg, head to the nearest bus stop for the Ride On Bus service. Take the Route 55 bus toward the Glenmont Metro Station. Ride this bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Silver Spring Metro Station. Transfer to the Metro Red Line toward Glenmont and ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. At Gallery Place, transfer to the Yellow Line toward Huntington and ride for 2 stops until you reach the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. Finally, exit the station, head southwest on 7th Street SW, and then turn left onto Maine Avenue SW. Walk about 5 minutes to arrive at The Wharf DC.

Take the Red Line toward Glenmont and ride for 2 stops to Gallery Place-Chinatown. From there, transfer to the Yellow Line toward Huntington and ride for 2 stops until you reach L'Enfant Plaza. Exit the station, walk southwest on 7th Street SW, and then turn left onto Maine Avenue SW. After a 5-minute walk, you will reach The Wharf DC.
