  • Public Transportation

    If you are in the heart of Rockville, walk to the Rockville Metro Station, which is located at 255 N Washington St. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the Shady Grove Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Montgomery County Ride On Bus, Route 36, towards the Lakeforest Mall. Ride for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the stop near the intersection of Mountain Rd and Hillsboro Rd. From the bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes north on Mountain Rd to reach Doukenie Winery at 14727 Mountain Rd, Hillsboro, VA.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to ride a bicycle, start from downtown Rockville and head northwest on E Montgomery Ave. Continue to follow the bike path which leads you to the Wootton Parkway. Follow the Wootton Parkway until it merges into Darnestown Rd. After about 6 miles, turn right onto Mountain Rd. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach Doukenie Winery at 14727 Mountain Rd, Hillsboro, VA. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules while cycling.

    For the adventurous walker, you can start from Rockville Town Square. Head northwest on E Montgomery Ave towards North Washington St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Darnestown Rd. Follow Darnestown Rd for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Mountain Rd. Turn left onto Mountain Rd and walk for another 2 miles. Doukenie Winery will be on your right at 14727 Mountain Rd, Hillsboro, VA. This is a long walk (approximately 2 hours), so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
