Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Frederick Rd & 5th St'. From there, transfer to the Frederick County Transit (FRED) bus service, and take the FRED Route 1 towards 'Frederick City'. Disembark at the 'Frederick Municipal Forest' stop. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.

    Rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Gaithersburg. Head northwest on the Great Seneca Highway towards Frederick. Follow the bike path along the road until you reach the intersection with MD-355. Continue following the bike lanes until you arrive at the Frederick Municipal Forest. It’s approximately a 12-mile bike ride, taking you through scenic views along the way.
