Walking
If you are starting from the Laurel Town Center, exit the shopping area and head south on Laurel Lakes Avenue. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue). Cross Route 1 and continue straight on the path that leads towards the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Follow the signs for the Parkway, which will be on your right. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes.

Public Transit
From the Laurel Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Prince George's County Bus Service. Board the bus heading towards the Greenbelt Metro Station. Once you reach the Greenbelt Metro Station, transfer to the Metro Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Get off at the College Park-U of Md Station. From there, you can catch the Metrobus B30 towards the Fort Washington Park and Ride, which will take you directly to a stop near George Washington Memorial Parkway. The total trip will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Laurel. Start from the Laurel Town Center and head west on the bike path that runs along the river. Follow this path until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue). Turn left and ride north for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to the George Washington Memorial Parkway on your right. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes.
