From the Laurel Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Laurel Mall. Take the Metrobus Route B30 towards the Greenbelt Metro Station. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the 'Bowie Park & Ride' stop. Transfer to Metrobus Route 11, which goes towards 'Alexandria, VA'. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes, and then get off at 'Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy & George Washington's Mount Vernon'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to George Washington's Mount Vernon.
Walking and Public Transit
If you prefer to walk a bit, from the Laurel Town Center, head to the Laurel MARC Station on Van Dusen Road. Board a train heading towards Washington, D.C. and get off at the 'Alexandria Station'. From there, you can take the King Street Trolley (it's free) to the King Street Metro Station, where you can catch the Metrobus Route 11 towards 'Alexandria, VA'. Get off at 'Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy & George Washington's Mount Vernon', and then walk 5 minutes to the entrance of George Washington's Mount Vernon.
