Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Laurel Train Station, head southwest on Main St towards 6th St. Continue straight to stay on Main St, which will turn into 7th St. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Laurel-Bowie Rd (MD-197). Walk for approximately 1 mile until you reach the bus stop for the Metrobus route 20. Take the bus heading towards Greenbelt Station and get off at the 'Greenbelt Metro Station' stop. From there, take the Washington Metro's Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Disembark at the 'L'Enfant Plaza' station and transfer to the Silver Line towards Wiehle-Reston East. Get off at the 'Tysons Corner' station and then take the Fairfax Connector bus 463 towards McLean. Get off at 'Old Dominion Dr & Great Falls Park'. You will find the entrance to Great Falls Park just a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Public Transport

    From Laurel Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the Metrobus route 20 towards Greenbelt Station. After about 30 minutes, disembark at 'Greenbelt Metro Station'. Then, board the Washington Metro's Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Travel for about 15 minutes and transfer at 'L'Enfant Plaza' to the Silver Line towards Wiehle-Reston East. After a ride of approximately 25 minutes, get off at 'Tysons Corner' station. At Tysons Corner, transfer to the Fairfax Connector bus 463 towards McLean. Get off at 'Old Dominion Dr & Great Falls Park'. The park entrance is within a short walking distance from the bus stop.

    If you're up for a biking adventure, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Laurel. Start your ride from the Laurel City Park and head northwest on Main St (MD-198). After about 1 mile, turn onto the Laurel-Bowie Rd (MD-197) and continue until you reach the bus stop for Metrobus route 20. Instead of taking the bus, you can continue biking along the road. Follow MD-197 north, then merge onto VA-123 N. Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Old Dominion Dr. Turn left onto Old Dominion Dr and follow the road until you see signs for Great Falls Park. The park entrance will be on your right.
