Bus
From Laurel, MD, head to the Laurel Transit Center located at 8100 Contee Road. Take the Metrobus Route 89 towards Greenbelt Metro Station. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop for the Greenbelt Metro Station. Transfer to the Green Line Metro train towards Branch Avenue and travel for about 25 minutes, getting off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. From there, transfer to the Red Line Metro train towards Glenmont and get off at the 17th Street NW exit. Walk 0.5 miles north along 16th St NW until you reach Meridian Hill Park at the intersection of 16th St NW & W St NW.

Train and Walk
From Laurel, walk to the Laurel Train Station at 1st St & Railroad Ave. Take the MARC Train on the Camden Line towards Washington D.C. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Washington D.C. Union Station. From Union Station, you can either take a bus or walk. If you choose to walk, exit the station and head northwest on Massachusetts Ave NE for about 1 mile until you reach 16th St NW. Turn left onto 16th St NW and walk about 0.3 miles to Meridian Hill Park located at 16th St NW & W St NW.

If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental spot in Laurel. Start your ride towards the north by following the Route 1 bike path. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail. Follow this trail towards Washington D.C. Once you arrive in D.C., follow the signs to the Capitol. From there, head north on 1st St NE, then take a left on E St NE and continue until you reach 16th St NW. Turn right and bike for half a mile to reach Meridian Hill Park at 16th St NW & W St NW.
