Getting There

    From Laurel, head to the Laurel Transit Center located at 8200 Sandy Spring Rd. Take the Metrobus 89 towards Greenbelt Metro Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Greenbelt Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Green Line Metro towards Branch Ave and get off at the L'Enfant Plaza station. Finally, switch to the Orange or Blue Line Metro towards Franconia-Springfield or Largo Town Center and get off at the Smithsonian station. Walk west along Independence Ave SW, then turn north onto 15th St NW, and you will arrive at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

    Make your way to the Laurel MARC Train Station at 1st St & Depot Rd. Board the MARC Train on the Camden Line towards Washington, D.C. This ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Union Station stop. From Union Station, exit to the street level and catch the DC Circulator Bus (National Mall route) towards the Lincoln Memorial. Get off at the stop for the Lincoln Memorial, and you will be at the Reflecting Pool.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Laurel. Start your ride heading south on Route 1 towards Washington, D.C. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the intersection with the Capital Beltway (I-495).
