From the Bethesda station, catch the Metrobus (Line 34 or 36) from the bus stop at Wisconsin Avenue & Montgomery Lane. Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes and get off at the stop at 14th St NW & Pennsylvania Ave NW. Walk a short distance east along Pennsylvania Avenue NW for about 0.2 miles (approximately 4 minutes) to reach the World War I Memorial at 1449-1455 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Turn left onto Old Georgetown Road and follow it until you reach the Rock Creek Park Trail. Follow the trail south towards Washington, DC. Eventually, you'll arrive at the World War I Memorial after approximately 3.5 miles of walking, which should take around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
