Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Rocky Gap State Park. Head southeast on Lake Shore Drive until you reach the intersection with Green Ridge Road SE. Turn left onto Green Ridge Road SE. Continue on this road for approximately 5 miles, passing through scenic wooded areas. Log Roll Overlook will be on your left at 14899-14831 Green Ridge Rd SE, Oldtown, MD 21555. There is a small parking area available for visitors.

• Public Transportation + Walking

  For those using public transportation, take a bus or train to the nearest station in Cumberland, MD. From Cumberland, you can use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Rocky Gap State Park. Once you arrive at the park, follow the same car directions: head southeast on Lake Shore Drive, then turn left onto Green Ridge Road SE. After about 5 miles, Log Roll Overlook will be on your left. Note that this option may incur additional costs for rideshare services depending on distance.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can take your bike to Rocky Gap State Park. Start at the park entrance and follow Lake Shore Drive southeast. Continue on Green Ridge Road SE for about 5 miles, where you will find Log Roll Overlook on your left. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all biking regulations in the park.
