Getting There

• Car

  From Sandy Point State Park, exit the park and turn left onto East College Parkway. Follow East College Parkway for approximately 3.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 2 (Solomons Island Road). Turn right onto Route 2 and continue for another 1.5 miles. Turn left onto West Street and drive for about 0.5 miles. Finally, turn right onto Dock Street. You will arrive at Annapolis City Dock, which is located at Dock St, Annapolis, MD 21401. Parking is available nearby, but there may be parking fees depending on the time and day.

• Public Transportation

  From Sandy Point State Park, head to the nearest bus stop at the park entrance. Take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Route 403 bus towards Annapolis. This bus service operates regularly and will take you directly to downtown Annapolis. Once you arrive in downtown Annapolis, disembark at the City Dock stop. From there, it's a short walk to Annapolis City Dock located at Dock St, Annapolis, MD 21401. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the most accurate times. A one-way fare is around $1.80.

• Bike

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike from Sandy Point State Park to Annapolis City Dock. Exit the park and turn left onto East College Parkway. Follow the bike lanes along East College Parkway, which will merge into West Street as you approach downtown Annapolis. Continue straight until you reach Dock Street. The ride is approximately 5 miles and should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and obey all traffic signals.
