Getting There

  • Car

    From any location within Sandy Point State Park, head south on the main road out of the park. You will exit onto Sandy Point State Park Rd. Continue straight until you reach MD-2 South (Solomons Island Rd). Merge onto MD-2 South and follow it for approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Mayo Rd and continue for about 1.5 miles. Finally, turn left onto Honeysuckle Dr, and you will find Mayo Beach Park at 4150 Honeysuckle Dr, Edgewater, MD 21037. Parking is available at the park, and there may be a small fee for parking, so be prepared with cash or card.

    If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Sandy Point State Park to the nearest transit station. The Anne Arundel County Transit (AAC Transit) has routes that can connect you to the Light Rail or other bus services. Check the AAC Transit website for the nearest stop.
