Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Sandy Point State Park. Head south on Sandy Point State Park Road until you reach the exit for the park. Turn right onto Route 50 East. Continue on Route 50 for about 5 miles. Take the exit for Route 665 toward Annapolis. Merge onto Route 665 and continue until you reach the traffic circle. Take the 1st exit onto Taylor Avenue. Tawes Garden will be located on your left at 580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401. Parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Sandy Point State Park to Annapolis. The closest bus stop is located at the park entrance. Check the local bus schedules for routes that go to Annapolis. Once you arrive in Annapolis, you will need to walk. Head north on Taylor Avenue. Tawes Garden is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, located at 580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401.

• Walking from Sandy Point State Park

  For those who want to enjoy a scenic walk, exit Sandy Point State Park and head south on Sandy Point State Park Road. Continue towards Route 50 East, then cross to Taylor Avenue. It is about a 2-mile walk to Tawes Garden at 580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401. Please be mindful of traffic along Route 50.
