Getting There

Public Transit
From Silver Spring, head to the Silver Spring Metro Station located at 8400 Colesville Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. After approximately 12 stops, get off at the Metro Center Station. Transfer to the Orange, Blue, or Silver Line and take it toward Largo Town Center. After 3 stops, get off at the Smithsonian Station. From the Smithsonian, exit the station and walk towards the National Mall. Head south towards the Tidal Basin, then walk toward the waterfront area. Continue along the waterfront until you reach 400 Key Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21230. The walk will take around 30-40 minutes.

From the Silver Spring Transit Center, take the Ride On Bus Route 19 or 25 toward Takoma Park. Get off at the Takoma Park Metro Station. From there, take the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont. After 12 stops, get off at the Metro Center Station. Change to the Orange, Blue, or Silver Line toward Largo Town Center and get off at the Smithsonian Station. Walk towards the waterfront area following the directions provided above. The total travel time will be approximately 1.5 hours.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk from Silver Spring to Baltimore, it is a long trek of approximately 10 miles. Start at Silver Spring Metro Station and head northeast on Colesville Rd. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with MD-295 S. Follow the path to the Baltimore area, and navigate toward the Inner Harbor and then to 400 Key Hwy.
