Metro
Start at the Silver Spring Metro Station on the Red Line. Take the train towards Glenmont and ride for 4 stops until you reach the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. At L'Enfant Plaza, transfer to the Orange, Blue, or Yellow Line towards Virginia and ride for 2 stops to the Anacostia Metro Station. Once you arrive at Anacostia, exit the station and head southeast on Howard Road SE. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach Anacostia Drive. Turn left onto Anacostia Drive, and after a short walk, you'll arrive at Anacostia Park.

From downtown Silver Spring, locate the bus stop at the Silver Spring Transit Center. Board the Ride On bus number 25 or 26 heading towards the Anacostia Metro Station. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes, and get off at the Anacostia Park stop, which is near the entrance. Follow the signs to the park entrance, and you will find yourself at Anacostia Park.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services in Silver Spring. Start at the Silver Spring Civic Building and head southeast on Fenton Street. Turn left onto East West Highway (MD-410) and continue until you reach the Anacostia River Trail. Follow the trail south for about 3 miles until you reach the park entrance at 1900 Anacostia Drive. The ride is scenic and takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

If you prefer to walk and are staying nearby, head south on Georgia Avenue from downtown Silver Spring. Continue straight, crossing over the Capital Beltway. After about 2 miles, you'll reach the intersection with Anacostia Drive. Turn right on Anacostia Drive and walk for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Anacostia Park. This route is approximately 2.5 miles and will take around 45-60 minutes.
