Metro
To reach the B&O Railroad Museum from Silver Spring, start by walking to the Silver Spring Metro Station. Board the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Travel for about 12 stops and get off at the 'Union Station' stop. From Union Station, transfer to the MARC train or Amtrak services heading towards Baltimore. Get off at the 'Baltimore Penn Station'. Once at Penn Station, you can take the Light RailLink from the station. Board the Light RailLink towards South Baltimore and get off at the 'Hancock Street' stop. Walk approximately 0.5 miles southwest on W Baltimore St, then turn left onto S Paca St. Finally, turn right onto W Pratt St, and the B&O Railroad Museum will be on your left at 901 W Pratt St.
Bus
Start at the Silver Spring Transit Center. Take the Metrobus Route Z2 or Z6 towards the Silver Spring Metro. After about 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Pawtucket Avenue & West Pratt Street' stop. From there, walk south on W Pratt St for about 0.2 miles. The B&O Railroad Museum will be at 901 W Pratt St on your left.
Walking
If you are close to the Silver Spring Metro Station, you can also walk to the B&O Railroad Museum, although it is a long distance of about 10 miles. Head southwest on Colesville Rd towards S Silver Spring Ave, then continue straight onto Newell St. Follow the road and take a right onto W Baltimore St. Walk straight for about 10 miles, and then turn left onto S Paca St. Finally, turn right onto W Pratt St, and you will find the B&O Railroad Museum at 901 W Pratt St.
