Metro
From Silver Spring Metro Station, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel for 5 stops, approximately 15 minutes. Get off at Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. Transfer to the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt. Travel for 3 stops, approximately 7 minutes. Get off at L'Enfant Plaza Station. From L'Enfant Plaza, walk approximately 10 minutes southeast. Head south on 7th St SW, then turn right onto E Capitol St SE. Continue walking until you reach 201 E Capitol St SE, the Folger Shakespeare Library.
Bus
At the Silver Spring Transit Center, take the Metrobus route 70 towards the Navy Yard. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the 7th St & D St SW stop. Walk east on D St SW towards 6th St SW, then turn left onto 6th St SW. Walk straight until you reach E Capitol St SE, then turn right. Continue walking until you arrive at 201 E Capitol St SE, the Folger Shakespeare Library.
Walking
If you are near downtown Silver Spring, start by walking to the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, walk to 8600 Georgia Ave and take the bus number 70 towards Navy Yard. Get off at the 7th St & D St SW stop. From there, walk east on D St SW towards 6th St SW, then turn left onto 6th St SW. Walk straight until you reach E Capitol St SE, then turn right. Continue straight until you reach the Folger Shakespeare Library at 201 E Capitol St SE.
