Stay on the train for about 15 minutes until you reach the Dupont Circle station. At Dupont Circle, transfer to the southbound side of the platform and take the train towards the Smithsonian. Get off at the next stop, which is Farragut North. Once you exit the station, walk north on 17th St NW towards U St NW. From anywhere in Silver Spring, locate a nearby bus stop that serves the Ride On or Metrobus services. Take the Ride On bus route 14 or Metrobus route S9 towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. Get off at the Silver Spring Metro Station and transfer to the Metro's Red Line. Take the train towards Glenmont, and alight at the Dupont Circle station. From there, transfer to the southbound side and take the train towards the Smithsonian. Get off at Farragut North station.
