Public Transit
Start at the Silver Spring Metro Station, located at 8400 Colesville Road. From the station, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel for three stops and get off at the Fort Totten Metro Station. At Fort Totten, transfer to the Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Continue on the Green Line for two stops and get off at the Anacostia Metro Station. From there, exit the station and walk to the bus stop for the Metrobus route A6 towards the Navy Yard. Board the bus and ride for approximately 15 minutes, getting off at the stop closest to Sicard St SE. From there, it's a short walk to the Naval District Washington Chapel located at Sicard St SE.
Walking
If you are close enough in the southeastern part of Silver Spring, you can walk directly to the chapel. Head southeast on Colesville Road, then turn left onto University Blvd E. Continue on University Blvd until you reach the intersection with 16th St, where you will turn right. Follow 16th St south until you reach the intersection with Good Hope Rd SE; here, turn left. Continue down Good Hope Rd SE until you reach the intersection with Sicard St SE. The Naval District Washington Chapel will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you're cycling, start from downtown Silver Spring. Head east on Ellsworth Drive, then take a left onto Fenton St. Follow Fenton St, which turns into 16th St, and continue south. When you reach Good Hope Rd SE, turn right. Follow Good Hope Rd SE for about a mile until you reach Sicard St SE. The chapel will be to your left.
