Metro
From downtown Silver Spring, head to the Silver Spring Metro Station located at 8400 Colesville Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Board the Red Line train towards Glenmont. After approximately 10-15 minutes, disembark at the Farragut North Station. From there, transfer to the Farragut West Station and take the Blue, Orange, or Silver Line towards the Smithsonian. Get off at the Smithsonian Station. Once you exit the station, head east on Independence Ave SW, then turn left onto 14th St NW. Walk a few blocks until you reach Constitution Ave NW, where the General José Gervasio Artigas Statue is located.
Bus
From the Silver Spring Transit Center, take the Metrobus Route S9 towards the Navy Yard. Ride for about 30-35 minutes. Get off at the stop at 14th St NW & Constitution Ave NW. Walk east on Constitution Ave NW for a short distance, and you will reach the General José Gervasio Artigas Statue.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of downtown Silver Spring, head south towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. Once there, you can use the walking route to the General José Gervasio Artigas Statue by walking towards the south and continuing on Georgia Ave for about a mile until you reach the point where Georgia Ave intersects with Constitution Ave NW. Continue walking east on Constitution Ave NW until you reach your destination.
