From Silver Spring, walk to the Silver Spring Transit Center located at 8100 Georgia Ave. Catch the MetroBus Route 15 towards Glenmont. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop for Annapolis Road & New Hampshire Avenue. From there, transfer to the Annapolis Transit Route 1 bus, which will take you directly to the downtown Annapolis area. Get off at the stop near the Maryland State House, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the James Brice House located at 42 East St.

Take the Red Line Metro from Silver Spring Station towards Glenmont. Disembark at the Union Station stop in Washington D.C. From Union Station, transfer to the MARC Train (Penn Line) towards Baltimore and get off at the Annapolis station. Upon arrival, you can take the Annapolis Transit Route 1 bus, which will bring you closer to downtown. Get off at the stop near the Maryland State House, and it's a 10-minute walk to the James Brice House at 42 East St.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bike in Silver Spring. Head southeast on Georgia Avenue towards the Capital Crescent Trail. Follow the trail towards Bethesda and then continue on the trail toward Georgetown. From Georgetown, follow the signs leading to the Potomac River and then navigate towards Route 50 which leads to Annapolis. Upon arriving in Annapolis, bike towards the Maryland State House, and the James Brice House is just a short ride away at 42 East St.
