    Start at the Silver Spring Metro Station (Red Line). Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the next stop, which is the Forest Glen Station. After exiting the station, head east on Forest Glen Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Georgia Avenue (MD-97).

    Bus

    From the Forest Glen Metro Station, you can catch the Ride On Bus #15 towards Glenmont. Get off at the stop on Georgia Avenue at Veirs Mill Road. From there, walk east on Veirs Mill Road. Matthew Henson State Park is located further east along Veirs Mill Road.

    Walking

    If you prefer to walk from the Silver Spring Metro Station, head east on Colesville Road until you reach Georgia Avenue. Turn left onto Georgia Avenue and continue north until you reach Veirs Mill Road. Turn right and walk east along Veirs Mill Road until you arrive at Matthew Henson State Park, which will be on your left.
