From Silver Spring Metro Station, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Stay on the train for 10 stops and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for the National Gallery of Art. Walk towards 7th Street NW and turn left. Continue walking until you reach Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Ulysses S. Grant Memorial will be on your left, located at the foot of the Capitol Building.

Catch the Ride On Bus Route 16 or 17 from any nearby bus stop in Silver Spring. Make sure to check the schedule for the nearest stop to you. From there, walk towards the west on Constitution Avenue NW until you reach the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, which is situated in front of the Capitol Building.

Continue straight, crossing over the intersection with Colesville Road. Follow Georgia Avenue until you reach the Silver Spring International Middle School. From there, turn left onto East-West Highway and continue straight until you reach the National Mall. Walk towards the east until you arrive at the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial located at the Capitol Building.
