Getting There

Metro
If you're in Silver Spring, head to the Silver Spring Metro Station located at 8100 Fenton St, Silver Spring, MD 20910. From there, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Travel for about 10 stops (approximately 20 minutes) until you reach the Union Station Metro stop. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the Capitol, which is about a 15-minute walk.

You can also take the Ride On Bus Route 15 from the Silver Spring Transit Center. Board the bus at the designated stops and ride towards the Washington, DC area. Get off at the stop at H St NE & 1st St NE. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the United States Capitol. Just head south on 1st St NE until you reach the Capitol grounds.

Walking
If you're already in downtown Silver Spring, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards the Capitol. Start at the Silver Spring Civic Building (located at 1 Veterans Pl, Silver Spring, MD 20910) and head southeast on Fenton St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ellsworth Dr, then take a left. Follow Ellsworth Dr until it merges into Colesville Rd. Continue on Colesville Rd, which will take you directly to the District line. Once you cross into Washington, DC, head east and follow the signs to the Capitol, which should be visible ahead.
