Ghosts of Old Town Alexandria: Haunted Graveyards & History

Touch the Iron Fence

We had such a fantastic time! I had been on ghost tours before but the rest of my group was new to them and rather skeptical/apprehensive. I wanted to find a company that told history-based stories without all the gimmicks and costumes, and I found it with DC By Foot and with our guide Trevor. Alexandria is so cool and rich in history. We loved walking around it and hearing about all the stories. My group was so excited afterwards and kept talking about how cool and unexpected it was. Trevor was very knowledgeable and vibed well with our group! He made it just feel like a friend telling you spooky stories vs. a theatrical tour, which was the exact vibe we were looking for. We even got gelato at one of the haunted areas after. Trevor also recommended a great Irish bar (Daniel O'Connell's) we checked out as well on King Street. Make sure to touch the iron fence in and out of the cemetery!

Washington DC Capitol Hill Guided Tour with Entry Tickets

Wonderful in depth tour!

The tour was a great experience. I was not expecting it to be so in depth so that was a nice surprise. Our guide was Vernon and he was wonderful. He worked at the Capitol and told us he studied history so he was very knowledgeable and funny! He was very personable too. Even just the access and not having to wait in any lines makes it well worth the money. Our tour went for the full 3 hours and Vernon made sure we all headed out to our next destinations with recommendations.
