If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the Mashpee area. Use your GPS or a maps application and enter 'Mashpee River Reservation, Mashpee, MA 02649'. From Route 28, turn onto Great Neck Road South. Continue for about 2 miles, then turn left onto South Cape Drive. Follow this road until you reach the entrance to the Mashpee River Reservation, which will be on your left. There is no entrance fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Bus from your location to the Barnstable Village. From Barnstable Village, transfer to the Route 1 bus heading towards Mashpee. Get off at the South Cape Drive stop. From there, it is about a 1 mile walk to the entrance of Mashpee River Reservation. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited on weekends.
Biking or Walking
If you are already in Mashpee and prefer biking or walking, you can navigate to Mashpee River Reservation by taking local roads. From Mashpee Commons, head south on Great Neck Road South and then turn left onto South Cape Drive. Follow the bike path or sidewalk until you reach the entrance of the reservation. This is a lovely way to enjoy the scenery along the way.
