Car
Starting from the center of Barnstable County, take Route 6 East toward Provincetown. Follow Route 6 for approximately 40 miles, which will take you through the towns of Dennis, Yarmouth, and Wellfleet. As you approach Provincetown, you will see signs for the town. Once in Provincetown, continue straight on Route 6 until you reach the intersection with Commercial Street. Take a left onto Commercial Street and follow it to the end where you will find the Provincetown Causeway. Note that parking may be limited, and some areas may require a parking fee.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus, known as the 'Flex' route. Board the bus at a nearby stop in Barnstable County, and purchase a ticket which typically costs around $3. The Flex bus will take you directly to Provincetown. Once you arrive in Provincetown, walk towards Commercial Street and continue to the end to reach the Provincetown Causeway. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as service may vary.

For those looking for a more active option, consider biking to the Provincetown Causeway. Barnstable County has several bike paths, including the Cape Cod Rail Trail, which runs parallel to Route 6. You can start your ride on the Rail Trail and connect to Route 6 as you approach Provincetown. Remember to wear a helmet and follow all biking regulations. Once in Provincetown, follow Commercial Street to the causeway. Parking for bikes is generally more available than for cars.
