Getting There

Bus
From downtown Barnstable, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Board the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus number 7 heading towards Provincetown. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the Provincetown Town Hall stop. From there, walk east on Commercial Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Shank Painter Road. Turn right onto Shank Painter Road, and walk straight for about 0.8 miles. You will find Beech Forest Trail on your left.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Barnstable Village and head towards Route 6A. Take the bike path along Route 6A towards Provincetown. Once you reach the intersection with Route 6, follow the signs for Provincetown. After approximately 12 miles, you will enter Provincetown. Continue on Shank Painter Road until you see Beech Forest Trail. The ride will take around 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on your speed.
