Getting There

• Bus

  From Barnstable, head to the nearest bus stop serving Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) routes. Look for the bus number that goes towards Sandwich. You will want to take the 'Route 1' bus towards Sandwich. After boarding, stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Sandwich Town Hall. This journey typically takes around 20 minutes. Once you exit the bus, walk east on Route 6A (Main Street) for about 0.5 miles until you reach Grove Street. Turn left onto Grove Street, and the Heritage Museums & Gardens will be on your right, just a short walk away.

  If you're renting a bicycle in Barnstable, head south on Main Street towards the Cape Cod Canal. Follow the scenic bike path along the canal until you reach Sandwich. From the canal, take the bridge over to Sandwich and continue on Main Street (Route 6A). Once you reach Grove Street, turn left. Heritage Museums & Gardens will be located on your right side. The entire journey is approximately 8 miles and will take about 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you could walk along Main Street (Route 6A), which is about 6 miles to Heritage Museums & Gardens. This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes and might take around 2 hours. Once you reach Sandwich, look for Grove Street and turn left; the destination will be on your right.
