Bus
From Barnstable Village, walk to the Hyannis Transportation Center. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus route 1 towards Provincetown. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the North Truro stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles north on Route 6, then turn left onto Highland Light Road. The Highland Lighthouse will be on your right.

If you rented a bicycle in Barnstable, head northeast on Main Street toward the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Follow the trail north until it intersects with Route 6. Turn left onto Route 6 and continue for about 5 miles. Take a right onto Highland Light Road and follow it for about 1 mile. The Highland Lighthouse will be on your right.

If you are staying in the northern part of Barnstable, you can take a scenic walk. Start at the Barnstable Harbor and head north along the coast. Follow the shoreline trails and pathways, which will lead you toward North Truro. After approximately 2 miles, turn left onto Highland Light Road. Continue on Highland Light Road for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Highland Lighthouse.
