If you are starting from the Barnstable Village area, head east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Route 6A. Turn left onto Route 6A and continue for about 4 miles. Look for signs directing you towards Sandwich. As you enter Sandwich, take a right onto Wood Avenue. The Sandwich Boardwalk will be on your left at 103 Wood Ave. It's approximately a 1-hour walk.

From Barnstable Village, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus heading towards Sandwich. Make sure to check the schedule for the next departure. You will need to get off at the Sandwich stop (closest to Route 6A), then walk approximately 15 minutes east on Route 6A before turning right onto Wood Avenue. The Sandwich Boardwalk will be on your left at 103 Wood Ave.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Barnstable. Head east on Main Street, then turn left onto Route 6A.
