Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Barnstable, head north towards Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Route 6A. Turn right onto Route 6A and follow it for approximately 3 miles. You will reach the Barnstable Harbor. From there, you can take a ferry to Provincetown. Once you arrive at Provincetown, head northeast on Commercial Street until you reach the intersection with Standish Street. Turn left onto Standish Street, and continue straight until you see signs for the Wood End Lighthouse. Follow the signs, and you will reach the lighthouse area after a short walk.

    From Barnstable, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus service to Provincetown. You can catch the bus at the Barnstable Village bus stop located on Main Street. The bus ride will take approximately an hour. Once you arrive in Provincetown, walk northeast along Commercial Street until you come to Standish Street. Turn left on Standish Street and follow the signs to the Wood End Lighthouse, which is a short distance away.
