Start at the Barnstable Village area and head west on Main Street. Continue to the intersection with Route 6A, then turn left onto 6A heading towards West Barnstable. After about 3 miles, look for Sandy Neck Road on your right. Turn onto Sandy Neck Road, which will lead you towards the Sandy Neck Beach area. As you approach the beach, follow the signs for Sandy Neck Lighthouse, which is located at the end of the road, approximately 2 miles down the sandy path.
Walking
From Barnstable Village, walk towards the nearest bus stop to catch the Barnstable Municipal Airport Shuttle or any local bus that heads towards West Barnstable. Get off at the stop nearest to Route 6A. From there, walk west along Route 6A for approximately 3 miles until you reach Sandy Neck Road. Turn right onto Sandy Neck Road and continue walking until you reach the beach area. Follow the signs for Sandy Neck Lighthouse, which is located at the end of the path about 2 miles from the beach entrance.
