If you're in Barnstable, start by locating the nearest bus stop for the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA). Check the bus schedule for Route 1, which travels to Hyannis. Board the bus and ride towards Hyannis. Once you reach the Hyannis Transportation Center, transfer to the Route 2 bus heading towards Barnstable Village. Get off at the stop nearest to the Barnstable Great Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located on Way. From the bus stop, walk down Way Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the sanctuary entrance.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental service in Barnstable. Head towards Main Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Route 6A. Turn onto Route 6A and continue until you see a sign for Barnstable Great Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. Follow the bike path that leads you to Way Street, and you'll arrive at the sanctuary entrance in about 15-20 minutes.

If you're close enough to the sanctuary, walking is a lovely option. Start at the center of Barnstable Village and head south on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach Route 6A. Cross Route 6A carefully and follow the path that leads to Way Street. Walk along Way Street for about half a mile, and you will find the entrance to Mass Audubon's Barnstable Great Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary on your right.
