Train
From Boston, take the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail from North Station to Salem Station. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Salem Station, exit the station and head southeast on Washington Street towards the intersection with Charter Street. Turn right onto Charter Street, and you will find The Burying Point at 51 Charter St, just a short 10-minute walk from the station.
Bus
Take the MBTA bus route 450 or 451 from Haymarket or Government Center in downtown Boston. The buses will take you directly to Salem. Depending on traffic, the ride may take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Salem bus terminal, head east on Washington Street, then turn right onto Charter Street. The Burying Point will be located after a short 5-minute walk.
Ferry
While there is no direct ferry to Salem, you can take the MBTA ferry from Long Wharf in Boston to Hull, then transfer to the MBTA bus (route 441) to Salem. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes, and the bus ride will take an additional 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving in Salem, walk east on Washington Street and turn right onto Charter Street to reach The Burying Point, approximately a 10-minute walk.
