Walking
If you're starting from the Boston Common, head southeast on Tremont St toward Park St. Continue on Tremont St until you reach the intersection with Boylston St. Turn left onto Boylston St and walk until you reach Washington St. Turn right onto Washington St and continue straight until you reach Beach St. The Chinatown Gate will be at the intersection of John F Fitzgerald Surface Rd and Beach St, on your right.
Subway
Take the Green Line subway from any nearby station (e.g., Park Street) and ride towards Government Center. At Government Center, transfer to the Blue Line towards Bowdoin. Get off at the Haymarket station. From there, walk south on Blackstone St, which turns into Washington St. Continue on Washington St until you reach Beach St. The Chinatown Gate will be at the intersection with John F Fitzgerald Surface Rd.
Bus
Find a bus stop for the #43 or #504 bus. Board the bus and ride towards the Haymarket area. Get off at the Beach St stop. After exiting, walk a short distance east on Beach St, and you will reach the intersection with John F Fitzgerald Surface Rd, where you will find the Chinatown Gate.
