Once at North Station, take the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Newburyport/Rockport Line towards Salem. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Salem Station, exit the train and head southwest on Washington Street. Continue straight for a few blocks until you reach Howard Street. The cemetery will be on your left.

If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch the MBTA bus number 450 from Haymarket. First, take the Green Line to Government Center and transfer to the Orange Line to Haymarket. Once at Haymarket, walk to the bus stop for the 450, which goes directly to Salem. The bus ride will take approximately 50 minutes. When you arrive in Salem, get off at the stop nearest to the Howard Street Cemetery and walk a short distance to your destination.

For a scenic route, you can take a ferry from Boston to Salem. Head to Long Wharf and board the Salem Ferry. The ferry ride will give you a stunning view of the harbor and will take about 55 minutes. Once you arrive at the Salem Ferry Terminal, walk towards the intersection of Congress Street and Washington Street. From there, head southwest on Washington Street, continue straight until you reach Howard Street, where the cemetery will be on your left.
