Getting There

• Car

  To reach Dighton Rock State Park by car from anywhere in Bristol County, start by heading toward Route 138. If you're near Fall River, take Route 24 North and exit onto Route 138 North toward Taunton. Continue on Route 138, and then turn onto 3rd Ave in Berkley. The park entrance will be on your right. There is free parking available at the park.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail to the Taunton station. From Taunton, you can take a local taxi service or rideshare (such as Uber or Lyft) to get to Dighton Rock State Park. The distance is about 10 miles, so the taxi fare may cost approximately $20-$30.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, there are bike paths along some parts of Route 138. If you're starting in Taunton, you can bike along the backroads toward Berkley, but be cautious of traffic. The distance from Taunton to Dighton Rock is around 10 miles. Ensure you have a helmet and follow all biking safety rules.

• Walking

  Walking to Dighton Rock State Park is not recommended due to the distance unless you are starting very close. If you are in the immediate area, you can walk along 3rd Ave, but be mindful of traffic, as there are no dedicated sidewalks in all areas. It is advisable to use this method only if you are familiar with the area.
