If you are starting from Gloucester's downtown area, head towards the nearest bus stop to catch the MBTA bus. Take the bus heading towards Boston (Route 450 or 455). Once you arrive in Boston, get off at the Haymarket station. From there, walk southeast on Blackstone St toward Hanover St, then turn left onto Hanover St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St, and you will find the Citizens Opera House at 539 Washington St.

From Gloucester, take the MBTA train from Gloucester Station on the Rockport Line towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, transfer to the Orange Line subway. Take the Orange Line towards Forest Hills and get off at Haymarket station. After exiting the station, walk south on Blackstone St and turn left onto Hanover St. Continue until you reach Washington St, then turn left. The Citizens Opera House will be on your left at 539 Washington St.
