You will take the bus to the Hampton Beach stop. The journey usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Hampton Beach, the park is just a short walk away. Exit the bus and walk towards the beach; the entrance to Hampton Beach State Park will be clearly marked.
Bike
If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Gloucester. Head southeast on Main Street and follow the bike path along Route 127. Continue until you reach the intersection with Route 1A, then turn right. Follow Route 1A to Hampton Beach. The ride is approximately 10 miles and should take around 40 to 50 minutes, depending on your pace. Be sure to stay on designated bike paths where available and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walk
For the adventurous walker, you can make a day of it by walking from Gloucester to Hampton Beach. Start at the center of Gloucester and head southeast on Main Street towards Route 127. Follow Route 127 until you reach Route 1A, then turn right. Continue straight on Route 1A until you reach Hampton Beach. The total distance is approximately 10 miles, and it will take about 3 to 4 hours depending on your walking speed. This option allows you to take in the beautiful coastal scenery.
