Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Gloucester Harbor area, near the Cape Ann Museum. Head east on Washington Street, which will turn into East Main Street. Continue on East Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Atlantic Road. Turn right onto Atlantic Road and follow it for approximately 0.7 miles. You will come to a point where Atlantic Road becomes Eastern Point Road. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the Eastern Point Lighthouse area. Note that the lighthouse is located at the end of a private road, so you will not be able to get closer than the entrance.

    From the Gloucester commuter rail station, board the Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) bus route 10 towards 'Rockport'. Get off at the stop near the intersection of East Main Street and Atlantic Road. From there, walk east on Atlantic Road for about 0.7 miles. The road will turn into Eastern Point Road, leading you to the entrance of the Eastern Point Lighthouse area. As with walking, the lighthouse is at the end of a private road, so you may not be able to see it up close.
