If you are starting from the Gloucester Visitor Center located at 24 Harbor Loop, head southeast on Harbor Loop toward Washington Street. After about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Washington Street and continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and follow it as it becomes Western Avenue. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Gloucester Train Station. From there, you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail to Boston. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, exit the station and head south on Causeway Street toward the entrance of the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line (C or D branches) towards Government Center and transfer to the Red Line at Park Street. Take the Red Line towards Ashmont and disembark at Downtown Crossing.
