Bus
From Hyannis, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus (Route 5) towards Provincetown. The bus departs from the Hyannis Transportation Center. Make sure to check the schedule, as it may vary. Stay on the bus until you reach the Provincetown town center. Once there, transfer to the Provincetown Shuttle (available during the summer months) which will take you closer to Long Point Beach. The shuttle will drop you off near the beach access point. Walk the short path from the shuttle drop-off to the beach.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Hyannis. From the center of Hyannis, follow Main Street north until you reach the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Once on the trail, head towards Provincetown. The ride is approximately 20 miles and takes you through beautiful scenery. Once you arrive in Provincetown, follow the signs to Long Point Beach. Be prepared for a short walk to get to the beach from the bike parking area.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, start at the Hyannis Transportation Center and head towards Main Street. Walk along Main Street until you reach the intersection with Route 6A. Turn left on Route 6A and follow it until you reach the ferry terminal in Barnstable. From there, take a ferry to Provincetown. Once you arrive in Provincetown, walk towards Commercial Street and follow it to the beach. This option will take a significant amount of time, but you'll get to enjoy the sights along the way.
