Walking
From the center of Hyannis, head to the Hyannis Harbor. Walk towards the ferry terminal located at 213 Ocean Street. You can take the ferry to Provincetown, which is about a 90-minute ride. Once you arrive at the Provincetown ferry terminal, exit the terminal and head east on Commercial Street. Continue on Commercial Street until you reach the intersection with Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue until you reach the end of the street where it meets the water. From there, you can walk along the waterfront towards the Wood End Lighthouse. Follow the path along the beach, and you will reach the lighthouse. Please note that the lighthouse is located on a small peninsula, so be sure to check the tide schedule to ensure safe walking conditions.
Biking
Start from the center of Hyannis and make your way to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, which runs parallel to Route 134. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Hyannis. Once on the trail, head towards Route 6 and continue until you reach the Provincetown exit. Follow the signs for Provincetown and bike along Route 6. Once you arrive in Provincetown, follow Commercial Street towards the waterfront. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue to the end of the street. Finally, walk towards the beach and follow the shoreline to reach Wood End Lighthouse. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all bike safety rules.
Public Transport
From central Hyannis, head to the nearest bus stop for the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA). Take the CCRTA bus route that goes to Provincetown. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Get off at the Provincetown bus station. From there, walk east along Commercial Street until you reach Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue until you reach the end of the street. You will find beach access and a path leading to the Wood End Lighthouse. Be sure to check the bus schedule beforehand for accurate timings.
