Bus
From downtown Lowell, head to the nearest bus stop on Merrimack Street. Take the Lowell Transit Authority bus number 1 towards the Gallagher Terminal. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the Gallagher Terminal in Lowell. From there, transfer to the MBTA bus service, taking the 350 route towards Alewife Station. After approximately 45 minutes, you will arrive at Haymarket Station in Boston. From Haymarket, it’s a short walk to Beantown Pub. Head southeast on Blackstone Street, turn left onto Market Street, and then right onto Tremont Street. The pub will be on your left at 100 Tremont St.

Begin your journey at the Lowell Train Station. Board the MBTA commuter rail on the Fitchburg Line heading towards Boston. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Disembark at North Station in Boston. From North Station, walk towards Causeway Street and take a left. Continue to walk until you reach Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, walk southeast on Blackstone Street, turn left onto Market Street, and then right onto Tremont Street. Beantown Pub is located at 100 Tremont St.

If you are already in downtown Lowell and prefer to explore, you can walk to Beantown Pub. Start from the intersection of Merrimack Street and Central Street. Head south on Central Street until you reach the train station. From there, walk towards the bus terminal and follow the signs to the nearest MBTA station (Lowell Station). Then, board the commuter rail or bus as described above. Walking entirely to Boston would take over an hour and is not recommended, but you can enjoy local sights along the way if you choose this option.
